Dress Up, Line Up, Hurry Up to Live it Up.
Run through fields, forests, and oh… haunted houses. Celebrate your survival at the finale bonfire. That warm and fuzzy feeling you’ll get at the end isn’t from the fire or the adrenaline. Project Trust receives a cut to fund their efforts to end bullying.
The Lowdown
On the night of October 22nd, after the Land of Illusion Haunted Theme Park closes to the public; the fog rolls in, the zombies rise up, and the doors will re-open for the most heart-pounding 5K run you will ever experience. Run for Your Life as you wind your way through the confines of haunted trails and weave your way through the hordes of less than friendly zombies. The best part of it: the 2:00AM (late Saturday night/ early Sunday morning) start time. You’ll never have a better excuse to sleep in on Sunday. Do you have what it takes to complete the full 5K or will you Run for Your Life?
OK…SO, WHAT EXACTLY IS IT? It’s your normal 5K run of course…but, with some not so normal additions. The path is marked just like any other 5K event. Event staff will will be located throughout the course to help keep you on track and to offer safety support. This is an off road event and participants should prepare and dress accordingly. Be prepared to run on dirt trails, gravel trails, up and down hills, through muddy/wet areas, and at night. This is not a timed event though there will be a prize for the first runner to cross the finish line.
HOW TO REGISTER: All participants must register for the event. Register online through EventBrite until October 22nd at 4:00pm for $35. GoRam Events staff will be available to register participants at the park on the night of the event. In person registration is limited and on a first come first serve basis.
Late registrations will be accepted on October 22nd (8pm-10pm) in person ONLY at Land of Illusion and during normal operating hours
All ticket sales are final with no refunds. In the event of in-climate or extreme weather then GoRam Events will set a fair and appropriate rescheduled date for the event.
NIGHT OF THE EVENT: Arrive by 1:30 AM to check in and prepared to Run for Your Life. Headlamps and flashlights are strongly encouraged. Parking is free at the Land of Illusion Haunted Theme Park.
5K Run will begin with a bang PROMPTLY at 2:00 AM. Participants are strongly encouraged to arrive with plenty of time to check-in (participants must bring printed tickets with them) and complete registration.
